I revisited the Animal Farm today after a few months. Nobody talk to me right now.  When I read the last page & closed the book a thought ran through me: “Wow, this book really predicted the future. Orwell knew what he was doing.” But then I stopped myself. Yes, the themes of this book accurately embody today’s time. But no, it didn’t predict anything. George Orwell’s Animal Farm, published in 1945, does is not a wake-up call for a dystopian future. Rather, it is an embodiment of what was happening in 1945—the present setting for the book. The truth simply is: Nothing has changed.  If a person read Animal Farm in the year it was published & today in 2026, they’ll still find the symbolism accurately resonating with both the periods.   vibe i want to capture for nyxtara As a writer, this is my favorite part. Telling the world about my story. Fantasy writing is literally the best. Mostly because the research part of fantasy books is so minimal. You play the God here, you create a world of your own. Rules you wish existed, magic one could only hope was real, characters you create by breaking yourself into pieces. That is the beauty of fantasy writing.  For me, I love kingdoms, castles, knights, magic but also murder. So, for my current WIP fantasy novella, I've created a dark kingdom wrapped in secrets.
